Always remember, your baby only has ‘needs’ not ‘wants.’ While you can’t always go back to traditional ways, you can learn a lot about your baby’s ‘needs’ from observing older customs and practices.
Always remember too - If the procedure you’re offered, or the advice you’re given, makes you feel uneasy, stop for a moment. Silence the left, thinking brain and listen to that wise inner voice.
Think about the traditional approach to a brand new baby - carry him close! Think about the traditional approach to a crying baby - pick him up! Think about the traditional approach to a hungry baby - feed him! Think about the traditional approach to night time feeds - the family bed!
